What’s it like living in Poverty?

Poverty is all over the world. Many people live on the streets while others are inside their house staying dry, but before we can go on lets see what Poverty means:

Poverty means  “Poor people with no money to spend on anything” These people are in trouble. Each year a lot of people die from hunger or they could get sick and die as well as having Aids, Cancer or any strong sickness.

People should be donating to the poor!! Why doesn’t the government do something about it? How can anybody do this? I can’t watch many people suffering from sickness or hunger!!

Over these years I’ve seen many people playing music to get money and still at the end of day only 5c was in the case. How could anybody buy an item with 5c, they can’t worth anything. I’ve seen people begging for food. All the other people in houses are lucky they have food and plenty of medicines to cure them while other people live in Poverty. These people have to change their life to have a better and happy life.

Many people have to give donations to help save people’s lives and after when you’d help them, they can come back and help you as well. And could be thanking you a lot!!

It’s sad to watch other people die when we live, I’m in are you?

Even old people such as lonely granddads have to beg for food and sometimes I hear him play music to get some coins so he can buy lunch for his grandchildren!!

It’s up to us now, to save the ones in need!! The rest is lucky, to have home to live in but still put your hearts into it, Try the best you can and help save their lives in a special way. And that way is to…… care for them, if they need help and don’t forget to donate to them if you see someone on the streets!!  So remember, help people in need and help them have a big smile on their faces!!    :)

    Well Done Kath
You wrote that really well! Congratulations… I agree, there is always someone on the streets who is playing music, and there is only 5c in their box, the one that collects money. I feel sad for all the poor, they don’t deserve to go through so much like AIDS and awful diseases. They deserve to live their life happily like us!
Though everyone is saying by 2015, every person will have an education. That’s great! :D
Yes, why isn’t the government donating anything? They definitely should help out and donate some money, at least $200,000 out of the billions they have to the poor! After all, don’t they want a prosperous country? A perfect country?
You can only live life only once, so if people in poverty live it wonderfully, they’ll be thankful enough. We want to see them smile, we want to see them joyful. I can’t stand having to look at someone in poverty. I shall always donate as much as I can to those poor people, and when the time comes, hopefully they’ll be freed from their misery and set out to live a terrific life full of content and good fortune. ;)
Oops… I must stop! I’ve made the comment really BIG! Sorry… anyway:
Got to Run! Catch you later Kathy!!!

    Thanks for your comment.
It true that you do have to donate, even if you don’t know them. They is no need to think bad about them!!
They are people, just like us!! We can’t treat them like they are animal, that just sounds horrible!! :(

    Hello Katherine,
How sad! :( I know why don’t the government do something. I bet if the people who don’t ever bother helping the poor people if they see this post they will make a better huge difference!

I even see that the poor people offer to clean people’s feet and shoes just to get one dollar. I see on the news people dying for hunger and of thirst! Another thing is that we shouldn’t waste food! People are dying in the world and here we are we are wasting food!

Hopefully people will make a difference and our world will be much better!!!

I agree, donating is important! You don’t have to know them completely to help them out. You sure put that comment together well! No, we can’t treat them like animals because they are humans just like us.
I too love reading, maybe really thick books because they are always interesting and exciting!! But sometimes it gets frustrating because it takes long to finish them. Anyways, I try to get my homework done quick, but I still put alot of effort into it, so I can sit down on the couch, relax and read my library books.

Yes, it is very amazing Kathy! I love reading tooo… alot. Yes, we both have that reading talent if you’d call it. Funny, we have alot in common!!

Thank you for replying to my comment!!! I am so sad Katherine! If we have all the good, cozey, nice warm blankets and beds why can’t they have any? You’re right, it’s NOT FAIR!!!! :( There are alot of them in need. They need shelter and water food and encouragement!

All children should go to school even if they are poor or if they are not!!! I hope everyone will give each other a helping hand and work together to make a better, huge difference.

It is great that you are so concerned about poverty. Rather than just giving them some money, can you think of a way that they could be helped to get out of poverty more long term?

    Hi,

Your blog is great, there’s lots to look at so when we’re back at school on Monday we’ll enjoy reading all your posts!

P7 in our school did as assembly on Malawi yesterday and they used lots of facts to explain the poverty that these people were living in. It’s scary how much we take for granted!
